I have no hesitation in recommending Cameron Philips Cabinetmaker, who has completed four projects for me. The first is a modest kitchen in a studio unit.
The second project is a large kitchen and laundry with some complicated details, Most of the cupboards extend floor to ceiling, and are fitted with internal drawers, requiring a high level of precision. Cameron designed everything to our specification. He was ingenious in providing effective solutions to achieve this. We are very happy with the result, which after nearly four years is still pristine. We did have one problem, with the sink bowl in the laundry. Cameron negotiated with the supplier to replace the sink bowl and the entire bench. The replacement was carried out with minimal disturbance, and at no cost to us.
The third project was to construct four custom storage units to fit inside wardrobes. This and all the previous work was made from MDF/melamine, or ply/melamine in wet areas, with Formica and stone worktops. He also patterned and fitted the glass wall cladding's.
The last project is completely different, a large table top made from a collection of kauri pieces we had collected. Cameron sorted and sliced the kauri, then laminated it to make broad planks, which were then mitered and joined to form three sides of a square with radius corners. The finished top surrounds a barbecue hot plate. Clever work!
Cameron's advice has been essential to every project. His attention to detail ensures that everything works as planned. The quality of his work makes it both beautiful and durable.
If you have the opportunity to acquire his services I suggest you grab it with both hands.
